| Targeting in DFP is achieved by using the custom targeting feature. First you'll need to create a targeting key/value pair in DFP for custom targeting and add it to your DFP line item, then set up a persona in ONEcount's Target Engine.
| |||
| === Create Key / Value Pair ===
| |||
| [[image:attach:media_1468947324489.png||align="center"]]
| |||
| ~1. Click on "Inventory".
| 2. Select "Key-values".
| 3. Click on the "New Key" button. This will open the "Key-values: New key-values targeting" window, as shown below.
| |||
| [[image:attach:media_1468947476819.png||align="center"]]
| |||
| ~1. Define a key name, e.g. advertiser.
| 2. For "Values type", check "Users will select frompredefined targeting values.
| 3. Click "Add Values" button and enter the value you want to create. Usually the advertiser name - one word, no space or special characters works well; but you can enter any value that works for you.
| |||
| Save the key/value pair. This pair can now be attached to a line item and used to target ads.
| |||

| |||
| === Attach Key / Value Pair to Line Item ===
| |||
| Navigate to Line Items (Delivery > Line Items) and create a new line item or edit an existing one.
| |||
| Setup is the same as any other line item, with the addition of two things:
| |||
| ~1. Under "Settings", change the type to "Sponsorship" and set the weight as "2". (Please ask your DFP vendor to allow editable weight in this field.)
| |||
| 2. Under the "Ad Targeting" section of the line item, apart from other targeting criteria, add the custom criteria created in above step:
| |||
| * Select "key-values"
| * Pick the key-value pair created in above step and save. If there are multiple custom criteria, use AND logic.
| |||
| === Set up a Segment and Target Action in ONEcount ===
| |||
| Create an Ad Targeting Action using the defined key-value pair .
| |||
| Create your segment in the Target Enigine and attach the Ad Targeting Action to it.
| |||
| That's it! The line item with the defined key/value pair will be targeted to the audience segment you selected.
