Content Keywords: How ONEcount Understands Your Content

ONEcount uses the keyword meta tags on your web pages to determine the content of those pages. The content is used in everything from analytics to segmentation, so it's very important to make sure that your keywords are set up to correctly reflect the content that is on your pages. These tags should be placed in the HEAD section of every page on your site, and the keywords should reflect the content that is on that page.

ONEcount accepts three different types of keywords: Meta, OG, and a special keyword type called "oc". Examples of the three types are below:

Meta Keywords(used by search engines):

<meta name="keywords" content="swimming,pool,swimming pool,water" />

OG Keywords (used by social media platforms):

<meta name="og:keywords" content="swimming,pool,swimming pool,water" />

OC Keywords (these are only used by ONEcount):

<meta name="oc:keywords" content="swimming,pool,swimming pool,water" />

<meta property="oc:keywords" content="swimming,pool,swimming pool,water" />

If you are using WordPress:

There are two major SEO Plugins for WordPress. Yoast SEO and All-in-ONE SEO plugin. Yoast has stopped adding Meta Keyword tags to its pages. All-in-One SEO is the better tool here because it allows you to create SEO tags for each page or article. This is a free plugin, and there is no reason to purchase the upgraded or Pro version. To learn how to set Meta Tags on your documents with AIOSEO, click here.

If you do not want to use Yoast or AIOSEO, there is another plugin you can use called Meta Tag Manager. Just go to Plugins → Add New and type Meta Tag Manager in the box. Install and activate the plugin:

Once it is installed, you can navigate to your pages and you will see at the bottom a section similar to what is below. This is where you define the tags for your page.

Define the tag type, which is "name":

Next, add the value. You can choose "keywords" from the list:
